Springtime!

We know it's been a while since our last entry and we apologise. Winter has been a bit quiet for us and there has recently been a fire within the Beading Ladies' community so things slowed down a bit. The World Cup 2010 was quite a surprise for a lot of people and companies. Everyone thought there would be more sales and interest but although we did have a lot of visitors and it was very good for our country not everyone had the sales they expected. We also didn't get the sales as expected at our various outlets.

Nonetheless we carry on and move forward! There are great festivals coming up like the Arts & Shiraz Festival at Riebeeck Kasteel (24-26 Sep) where there is a WearSA stockist (Aitsa, 27 Main Rd). So get your sunglasses and summer gear on and get ready for a great day / wknd out! We have also launched our latest beaded accessories (e.g. rings, bracelets & earrings) which can now be found in Aitsa. Our ladies have also made some new bags and we'll keep on making new and exciting things so watch this space! Summer is coming and that always means production and spring means new beginnings so we are getting busy again. And remember, every time you buy one of our beaded items or bags you are supporting our lovely Beading Ladies and their families.

We look forward to writing again soon.. Our website (www.wearsa.co.za) will be launched before the end of the year so something else to look forward to.

World Cup 2010 - feel it it was here!

So we hosted a very successful world cup. Well done South Africa! We are very proud to be a part of this nation and represent our country. We have been focusing on our accessories during the world cup and promoting our online presence. We are busy designing & developing our online shopping website so that we can create more sales and support even more ladies to create for WearSA. This is our passion and without your help we cannot do this so we'd like to thank you for all your support so far. You help make WearSA work & exist.

We are now focusing on creating more products & expanding our handbag & skirt range.

As you can see the Beading Ladies have also been proudly South African during the World cup!

We are also supporting the Keep Flying the Flag initiative that was started during the World Cup 2010 and is meant to encourage South Africans to keep being proud of South Africa and keep supporting local companies & initiatives.  We encourage you to do the same!

The Beading Ladies

As mentioned before we have this talented group of ladies working for WearSA.  They make the most beautiful stuff and they are always smiling too!  Visiting them is the highlight of the week.  Just watching them creating & singing and living life to the fullest does something to the soul.  It's great to be able to give them the opportunity to live out their talents and get paid for it.

We heart them and love watching them grow with the brand.  We will be posting news from the weekly work sessions.  Till next time.

We launch our blog

Hello

Yes we have finally launched our blog whilst you are awaiting the exciting new website! We've been planning this for a while especially to share the exciting developments with The Beading Ladies who make a lot of the beaded items in our range. They might need a blog themselves at the rate things are moving along! Here we want to share all the WearSA developments & growth of our brand. We really appreciate all our customers & positive comments we receive. Without you all this would not be possible so we heart each and every one of you.

There has been some exciting developments since WearSA started last year. You can follow our blog or follow us on Twitter (@wearsa) and then of course on our website (www.wearsa.co.za) as soon as that is launched.

We hope you enjoy the journey with us!
